UFC 167: Ed Herman Fighting Rafael Natal

It didn’t take long for the UFC to book Rafael Natal for his next bout, as the promotion has announced that the middleweight will fight Ed Herman on November 16th, at UFC 167.

Natal (17-4-1) fought approximately two weeks ago at UFC FN 28, and worked his way to a unanimous decision win over Tor Troeng. The victory was “Sapao’s” third straight and extended his UFC record to 5-2-1.

Herman (21-9) is coming off an entertaining, split decision win over Trevor Smith at UFC on FOX 8 in July, which earned the TUF vet “Fight of the Night” honors. Prior to the win, the middleweight had dropped bouts to “Jacare” Souza and Jake Shields. The loss to Shields was overturned to a no contest, however, as the vet failed his post-fight drug test. “Short Fuse” is 3-1 with 1 NC in his last five bouts.

UFC 167 will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena and will feature welterweight champ Georges St. Pierre taking on Johny Hendricks in the main event.
