UFC 167: Josh Koscheck Fighting Tyron Woodley

Koshceck

By FCF Staff

UFC 167 has picked up another notable welterweight bout, as the promotion has announced that perennial contender Josh Koscheck will battle Strikeforce vet Tyron Woodley at the November 16th event.

The upcoming card will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena and will feature welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre taking on Johny Hendricks.

Koscheck (17-7) is looking to rebound from consecutive losses for the first time in his career, as he’s coming off a split decision loss to Hendricks and a KO defeat to Robbie Lawler.

Prior to the losses he scored back-to-back wins over Mike Pierce and Matt Hughes.

Woodley (11-2), meanwhile, lost a tightly contested split decision to Jake Shields in June, after quickly knocking out Jay Hieron at UFC 156, in what was his Octagon debut.

The main card for UFC 167 will be available via pay-per-view and will also feature Rory MacDonald taking on Lawler.
