Some fans in attendance tonight at UFC 170 weren’t happy with how the main event ended in 66 seconds, but Ronda Rousey was awarded a “Performance of the Night” for her quick win over Sarah McMann.

Rousey, who defended the bantamweight title by stopping McMann with a knee to the liver and follow up punches, earned an extra $50,000 for the award.

The other “POTN”, and $50K, went to Stephen Thompson for his impressive TKO win over Robert Whittaker.  The noted kickboxer and Karate black belt put Whittaker away with several hard punches in round one.

“Fight of the Night” went to Demian Maia and Rory MacDonald for their memorable, up-and-down clash. MacDonald was able to work his way out from under the feared grappler on a couple of occasions, and outscored Maia standing with jabs and body kicks. The Tristar fighter was awarded the unanimous decision victory.

UFC 170 was hosted by the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
