After their UFC Fight Night 34 bout fell through last month, the promotion has re-booked Jake Ellenberger to fight Tarec Saffiedine at UFC 172. The event will take place April 26th at the Baltimore Arena in Maryland. News of the bout was tweeted out by the UFC Friday.

After Ellenberger was forced to drop out of the January 4th card in Singapore with a hamstring injury, Hyun Gyu Lim was moved into the main event to fight Saffiedine. The latter won the bout via unanimous decision.

With the victory, Saffiedine (15-3) has won five straight, which includes laying claim to Strikeforce’s welterweight title last year. The only man to defeat the talented striker since 2009 is Tyron Woodley.

Ellenberger (29-7) hasn’t fought since UFC on FOX 8 last July, when he was decisioned by Rory MacDonald. Prior to the defeat the powerful wrestler scored consecutive wins over Jay Hieron and Nate Marquardt.

UFC 172 will feature light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones taking on Glover Teixeira in the main event.
