The Ultimate Fighting Championship has announced, as expected, that Daniel Cormier will battle legendary light-heavyweight Dan Henderson at the promotion’s May 24th card in Las Vegas, Nevada. The bout will serve as the co-headliner for UFC 173, which will also feature bantamweight champ Renan Barao taking on TJ Dillashaw.

Cormier (14-0) will be looking to build on his quick, stoppage win over Pat Cummins at UFC 170 in February, which marked the former heavyweight’s light-heavyweight debut.

Henderson (30-11) is also coming off a stoppage win, as the 43 year-old fighter took out “Shogun” Rua in March to end a three fight losing skid.

UFC 173 will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
