UFC 173: Tony Ferguson-Katsunori Kikuno Bout Verbally Agreed To

The May 24th, UFC 173 card has a new lightweight addition, as the promotion has announced that Tony Ferguson and Katsunori Kikuno have verbally agreed to fight at the upcoming event.

UFC 173 will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will feature middleweight champ Chris Weidman taking on Lyoto Machida in the headliner.

Ferguson (14-3) will be looking to build on the first round, submission win he scored over Mike Rio at UFC 166 in October, after he was decision by Michael Johnson in May, 2012. The TUF 13 winner has gone 4-1 to date in official UFC action.

Kikuno (22-5-2) made his UFC debut on January 4th, and worked his way to a UD win over Quinn Mulhern. The Japanese fighter and DEEP vet has won six straight bouts.

Some of the other bouts that have been confirmed for UFC 173 include Sam Sicilia vs. Doo Ho Choi, T.J. Dillashaw vs. Takeya Mizugaki, and Jamie Varner vs. James Krause.
