It looks like the July 5th, UFC 175 card has picked up a compelling bantamweight bout, as Urijah Faber and Alex Caceres have verbally agreed to fight at the event.

The bout, which will go down at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, was reported first by ESPN.com. The report also says that Caceres requested a fight with Faber.

The UFC also retweeted news of the match-up.

Faber (30-7) will be competing for the first time since UFC 168 in February, when he was stopped by champion Renan Barao. The former WEC champ had won four straight fights prior to the defeat.

Caceres (10-5) is coming off consecutive wins over Roland Delorme and Sergio Pettis, and is 4-0, with 1 no-contest, in his last five bouts.

UFC 175 will be headlined by a middleweight bout between champion Chris Weidman and Lyoto Machida.
