Despite all the recent speculation about a future bout between Gina Carano and Ronda Rousey, the UFC has announced that the latter will fight Alexis Davis next.

Rousey will look to defend the bantamweight title versus Davis at UFC 175, which will go down July 5th at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

Davis (16-5) is coming off a split decision win over Jessica Eye at UFC 170 in February, which was her third consecutive victory in the UFC.

Rousey (9-0) also fought at UFC 170, and quickly stopped Sarah McMann with a knee to the body. The decorated Judoka has also gone 3-0 in the Octagon to date.

UFC 175 is also scheduled to feature middleweight champ Chris Weidman versus Lyoto Machida.
