It hasn’t taken Bobby Green and Jorge Masvidal long to land a new scrap, as following their victories at UFC on FOX 12, the promotion has announced they’ll square off on September 27th.

The lightweight fight will be part of UFC 178, which will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Green (23-5) worked his way to a split decision over perennial contender Josh Thomson on Saturday. With the victory, “King” has won 4 straight in the UFC and 8 in a row.

Masvidal (27-8), meanwhile, scored a unanimous decision win over Daron Cruickshank at UFC on FOX 12. The American Top Team fighter is 4-1 in his last 5 bouts and his only loss during that stretch came against Rustam Khabilov.

UFC 178 will feature light-heavyweight champ Jon Jones taking on Daniel Cormier in the main event.
