UFC 185: Roger Narvaez Happy to “Take Out TUF Guys Continent by Continent”
By FCF Staff
After earning his first UFC victory in November, by decisioning Luke Barnatt, Roger Narvaez is hoping to hand another TUF vet a loss.
Narvaez is booked to face middleweight Elias Theodorou next weekend at UFC 185, who won TUF Nations: Australia vs. Canada last year. Since then, the Canadian has gone to defeat Bruno Santos and extend his record to 10-0.
Recently Narvaez (7-1) spoke to UFC.com, and while discussing the March 14th match-up, the American stated:
“I’m excited for this fight,” Narvaez said. “Let’s take out TUF guys continent by continent. That’s how I see it. I’m an American born and bred and for me to have the opportunity to fight these guys from different places around the world is a great feeling. Until I got to the UFC I had only been fighting guys from Texas and around the region, so to fight one of England’s best up-and-comers then fight Canada’s most highly-touted prospect at 185…let’s do it. I’m not here to just get a couple of wins and be content. I’m here to make some waves and make some noise. I want to fight for the title one day and the only way that is going to happen is by getting these matchups.”
UFC 185 will be hosted by the American Airlines Center in Dallas, and in the main event, lightweight champ Anthony Pettis will take on Rafael dos Anjos.
