The card for UFC 189 continues to fill out, as the promotion has announced that Brandon Thatch will battle welterweight vet John Howard.

Thatch (11-2) will be looking to get back on track after he was submitted by former lightweight champ, Benson Henderson, in February. Prior to the loss Thatch had won 10 straight bouts.

Howard (22-11),  on the other hand, has lost three straight, as the striker is coming off defeats to Ryan LaFlare, Brian Ebersole and most recently, Lorenz Larkin.

UFC 189 will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and will feature featherweight champ Jose Aldo taking on Conor McGregor in the headliner.
