Alexander Gustafsson was bloodied and battered at UFC 192, and “The Mauler” has posted a post-fight pic and a thank you note, following his loss to Daniel Cormier.

Gustafsson and Cormier engaged in one of the most brutal, and entertaining title fights in recent memory Saturday, and the latter won the bout via split decision.

Recently Gustafsson posted the following message to his fans on Facebook:

On my home to get some rest. Thank you Houston, UFC, my fans, my family, my team and my sponsors all for the support, means a lot to me.

According to multiple reports, Gustafssson has received a six month, medical suspension, as a result of Saturday’s fight. No details regarding the fighter’s injuries were provided. Gustafsson will be able to compete before then if cleared by a doctor.

Saturday’s title took place in Houston, Texas, and marked the first time Cormier had defended the title, since he submitted Anthony Johnson in May to become champ.
