UFC 195: Robbie Lawler – Carlos Condit to Headline
By FCF Staff
Carlos Condit will challenge Robbie Lawler next after all, as the UFC has announced that the latter will defend the welterweight title versus “The Natural Born Killer” on January 2nd. The bout will headline UFC 195, which will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The fight was originally scheduled to take place on November 14th at UFC 193 in Melbourne, but Lawler incurred a thumb injury and the fight was postponed.
Lawler (26-10) stopped Rory MacDonald in his last outing, after winning the belt via a split decision win over Johny Hendricks last December.
Condit (30-8) earned a TKO win over Thiago Alves in May, after he went down with a knee injury last March, during a fight with Tyron Woodley. Prior to that the welterweight stopped Martin Kampmann.
