Stipe Miocic has been assigned the task of stopping the resurgent Andrei Arlovski, and although he understands it’s a tough assignment, the heavyweight doesn’t seem fazed.

Miocic and Arlovski will battle at UFC 195 on January 2nd, which will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight was booked after Miocic was forced to pull out of a fight with Ben Rothwell earlier this month, due to injury.

In Arlovski, Miocic will take on a fighter who has won six straight fights and has defeated contenders like Travis Browne and Frank Mir along the way. But, while discussing the upcoming match-up recently with UFC.com, Miocic said this:

“He (Arlovski) is on a great winning streak, he’s fought the best in the world, he’s a former champ and he’s a tough guy,” Miocic said of Arlovski. “He’s been there, done that, but he’s just another guy in front of me for me to put down.”

Miocic will be fighting for the first time since last May, when he scored a one sided, stoppage win over Mark Hunt.
