Daniel Cormier has extended an invitation to Ovince Saint Preux to come train at the American Kickboxing Academy, and Jon Jones had a few things to say about his rival’s offer.

Cormier is no longer fighting Jones at UFC 197 on April 23rd due to a leg injury, and instead, OSP will face the former champ for the interim 205 belt. The champion appeared on the latest episode of “The MMA Hour”, and during the interview, he told OSP he was welcome to come train at AKA, all expenses paid.

Jones also called into the program, and here is some of what he had to say about Cormier’s invitation (quote via MMA Fighting.com):

“Daniel is an absolute coward who will never beat me,” Jones said “And I say that not from an arrogant place. I say that from a place where, me getting my belt back, it means everything to me…

“His inviting OSP to his training camp shows me that he’s so grateful that he’s not fighting me in three weeks,” Jones added. “That he’s so grateful that he gets to have one more family photo-op with that belt, because he knows that he’s not going to beat me, especially now with a knee injury…”

Saint Preux was also a guest on the show, and he relayed that while he appreciates Cormier’s invitation, he will continue to train with his own team and coaches.
