UFC 197 to Take Place March 5th in Rio de Janeiro

Following last night’s UFC Fight Night 77 card in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the promotion announced it is returning to Rio de Janeiro on March 5th.
UFC senior vice president Giovani Decker confirmed the upcoming card after Saturday’s event. It will be hosted by the city’s HSBC Arena.
Although no bouts were announced, Decker did say that Anderson Silva has expressed an interest in fighting in Brazil next.
The former middleweight champ will be eligible to compete by March 5th, after Silva received a one year suspension earlier this year, for testing positive for PEDs.
