UFC 200: Jose Aldo Says he “Easily” Defeated Frankie Edgar With One “Arm”
By FCF Staff
Jose Aldo is scheduled to fight Frankie Edgar again at UFC 200, and the former featherweight champ is clearly feeling pretty confident heading into their rematch.
Aldo and Edgar battled before in 2013, and the former beat the latter via a 49-46, 48-47 and 49-46 margin. Recently the star spoke with the media in Brazil, and while discussing the argument Edgar may have won the bout, Aldo stated (quote via MMA Fighting.com):
“Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? No way,” Aldo said. “I haven’t watched it anymore because I know I easily won that. I won that only with my left arm. I don’t know where he saw that. You can say he won the fifth round and that’s it, but I won the other four. I won, no doubt.”
The Brazilian fighter also noted that while he respects Edgar, he doesn’t believe the contender has evolved since they battled for the first time,
UFC 200 will be hosted by the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Reigning featherweight champ, Conor McGregor, will rematch Nate Diaz in a welterweight bout.
