For several minutes, it looked like Nate Diaz – Conor McGregor II might have a similar conclusion to their first encounter,  but ultimately the latter pulled out the win.

McGregor pounded Diaz with hard left hands early in the bout and dropped Diaz on several occasions. McGregor also battered the legs of Diaz with kicks. A bloodied Diaz continued to fire back, however, and had McGregor retreating in the fight’s middle rounds.

This time around, however, McGregor was able to recover, and went on to win a majority decision. After the bout, Diaz proceeded to announce that he had an injury heading into the fight, and that he wants a third scrap with McGregor. The latter said he’s up for a third fight, but that he wants it at 155.

In the co-headliner, Anthony Johnson crushed Glover Teixeira with a massive uppercut moments into their bout to score a KO win. Johnson is believed to have locked up a shot at the 205 title with the win.
