It looks like the UFC won’t wait to see how Luke Rockhold and “Jacare” Souza perform in their next bouts, in terms of determining the next challenger for Michael Bisping.

Following Yoel Romero’s electrifying, flying knee stoppage of Chris Weidman, Dana White has confirmed that the middleweight will fight Bisping next. At the post-fight presser, the UFC President stated (quote via MMA Fighting.com):

“That’s the fight that makes sense,” said White, when asked about Bisping – Romero.  “I mean, he [Romero] beat Chris Weidman tonight. I don’t know when, but yeah, that’s the fight.”

Romero (12-1) has gone 8-0 now in the UFC, since he joined the promotion in 2013. Initially, Souza and Rockhold were booked to fight later this month on the 27th, and that fight was also viewed as a possible, title shot eliminator. Rockhold, however, had to withdraw due to injury.
