Conor McGregor is known for making bold predictions for his fights, but Eddie Alvarez has made an interesting call for their upcoming battle.

The lightweight champion will face McGregor in the headliner of UFC 205, which will take place on November 12th in New York City. Alvarez recently spoke to FOX Sports, and the former Bellator champ was asked to predict the outcome of his next fight.

“I think we do it under the nine-minute mark,” Alvarez said. “Big, big heavy shots, he goes down and then submission.”

“I can see it ending much like the (Nate) Diaz fight where I land the heavy shot and then I finish with a submission.”

Alvarez is referring to McGregor’s bout with Diaz in March, which saw the latter land stinging punches in round two, and finish the fight with a rear-naked-choke. In their rematch in August, however, McGregor scored a unanimous decision victory.
