UFC 212: Kelvin Gastelum to Face Anderson Silva
By FCF Staff
After taking out Vitor Belfort at UFC Fight Night 106 last weekend, Kelvin Gastelum called for a fight with Anderson Silva, and the middleweight contender has received just that.
The UFC has announced that the two will fight at UFC 212, which will take place on June 3rd in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Gastelum (14-2) finished Belfort in the opening round with strikes, and in doing so, extended his winning streak to three.
Silva (34-8-1), meanwhile, recorded a tightly contested and controversial decision win over Derek Brunson in his last bout, which took place in February. The legendary fighter was coming off defeats to Daniel Cormier and Michael Bisping.
In the main event for UFC 212, featherweight champ Jose Aldo will take on interim champ, Max Holloway.
