UFC 212: Michael Bisping Outlines Why He’s Picking Max Holloway Over Jose Aldo

Jose Aldo has been defeated just once since 2005, but Michael Bisping believes the storied featherweight is going to incur his second loss in three fights, at UFC 212.

On Saturday, Aldo will take on Max Holloway, who has won 10 straight fights since he lost via decision to Conor McGregor in 2013. The latter, of course, is the man who KO’d Aldo in 2015.

During the latest “UFC Tonight”, Bisping was asked for his take on Aldo – Holloway, and the middleweight champ said this (quote via FOX Sports press release):

“He gets it done by speed and aggression. He’s got to apply the forward pressure to crowd the kicker. He’s got to vary his attack. And key three is he’s got to block the leg kicks.”

“The last time he fought a true striker, Conor McGregor, he (Aldo) got knocked out. Max is going to move forward and he can throw with just as much talent, speed and power as Conor McGregor. For those reasons, I say Max gets it done.”

UFC 212 will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, at the HSCB Arena.
