Kevin Lee understands that Tony Ferguson is a very dangerous fighter, but the rising lightweight says “El Cucuy” won’t be able to deal with the offence he brings on Saturday.

Lee will face Ferguson for the interim lightweight championship at UFC 216, and he’ll be looking to end the latter’s nine fight winning streak in the process. While speaking to the media recently about the top contender, Lee had this to say (quote via MMA Junkie):

“With him, it’s not even so much a technical thing, it’s his mindset that drives him through a lot of these fights,” Lee said. “He’s in the fights, he’s getting hurt, but he comes back and he’s hurting other guys. He’s able to whether the storm, but I’m going to bring a hurricane at his ass, and I don’t think he’s going to be able to handle it.”

“The Motown Phenom”, meanwhile, is coming off a technical submission win over Michael Chiesa, which extended Lee’s winning streak to five.

UFC 216 will be hosted by the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
