UFC 216: Tony Ferguson Takes Interim LW Belt, Demetrious Johnson Sets Record For Title Defenses

Here are the results from tonight’s UFC 216 card, which saw Tony Ferguson win the interim lightweight title, and Demetrious Johnson set a new record for title defenses.

Ferguson tapped out Kevin Lee with a third round, rear-naked-choke, while Johnson submitted Ray Borg with a fifth round, armbar. With the win, the flyweight champ recorded his 11th title defense, to move past Anderson Silva’s previous record of 10 title defenses.

UFC 216 took place in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Brad Tavares def. Thales Leites via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-26, 30-26)

John Moraga def. Magomed Bibulatov via KO (punch) R1, 1:38

Matt Schnell def. Marco Beltran via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 30-27)

Poliana Botelho def. Pearl Gonzalez via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
