UFC 219: Khabib Nurmagmedov’s Nutritionist Updates “Haters” on Lightweight’s Weight Cut
By FCF Staff
According to Khabib Nurmagomedov’s nutritionist, Tyler Minton, the lightweight contender’s weight cut is going according to plan.
Due to the fact Nurmagomedov was forced to withdraw from a fight with Tony Ferguson in March, due to medical issues he ran into while cutting weight, the fighter’s weight leading up to UFC 219 has been a common topic. But, in advance of Nurmagomedov’s bout with Edson Barboza on Saturday, Minton tweeted out the comments below:
The UFC wants fighters no higher than 10% of their weight class on arrival. Two meals and a lot of water later, @TeamKhabib weighs in more than a pound UNDER. Sorry haters… #nutritionist #lockhartandleith #khabibnurmagomedov #ufc219 pic.twitter.com/AksT9X7hhA
