Although Holly Holm is set to face former Invicta FC featherweight champ, Megan Anderson, the decorated fighter is still hoping to compete for the promotion’s bantamweight title again.

Holm will battle Anderson on the main card of UFC 225, in a bout that many believe, could hand out a title shot at 145. In a recent story at UFC.com, however, Holm relayed that she hasn’t closed the book on fighting at 135 pounds.

“I’m excited to fight Megan,” said Holm. “I do still want to go back if I’m able to have the opportunity to fight for the 135 belt, but I’m just kind of wanting to get through this fight first.

“I don’t want to look too far forward because I don’t want this opportunity to pass me by and have to say, ‘Woulda, coulda, shoulda.’ I’m excited for this matchup and I’ve been training hard for it. I don’t want to only show new things, but I’ve really been focusing on trying to break some of my bad habits too.”

Holm is coming off a decision loss to reigning featherweight champ, Cris “Cyborg”, in December.

UFC 225 will be hosted by Chicago, Illinois.
