Although Yair Rodriguez has been forced out of a bout with Zabit Magomedsharipov due to injury, it appears as though Brandon Davis will face the rising featherweight at UFC 228.

Recently Davis posted the comments below on Twitter.

Davis (9-4) is looking to get back on track, following a decision loss to Enrique Barzola in May. The featherweight has gone 2-2 in the UFC to date. Magomedsharipov (15-1), on the other hand, is 3-0 in the Octagon.

UFC 228 will take place in Dallas on September 8th.
