Anyone who has watched Derrick Lewis fight knows that the heavy handed, heavyweight can end an opponent’s night with just one shot. But, what are the real chances that Lewis ends Daniel Cormier’s reign at UFC 230?

Lewis was surprisingly booked for a title fight with Cormier, following his come-from-behind win over Alexander Volkov at UFC 229 last month. The title fight shocked the MMA world, not only because of the short notice, but because Cormier was expected to fight Brock Lesnar next. Further, since Cormier reported he was still recovering from a hand injury, no one was expecting the champ to fight anytime soon.

Even though many believe Lewis shouldn’t be fighting after his grueling fight with Alexander Volkov, the fight is going ahead. This might be a key factor for Cormier to step in as the undisputable favorite with odds at -700, making him a tempting option to place your bet on.

While Lewis has shown a ton of heart, toughness and yes, power in the Octagon, many believe Cormier’s conditioning, wrestling and his dangerous striking will rule the day.
