UFC 230 has taken a serious hit, following the news that heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier will fight Derrick Lewis at the event, as it’s being reported that Dustin Poirier has withdrawn due to injury.

Poirier was booked to fight Nate Diaz at the November 3rd card, in what was a highly anticipated bout. But, according to an initial report from ESPN, and follow up reports, Poirier has been forced off the card.

The upcoming event will be hosted by Madison Square Garden in New York City. Some of the other bouts that are scheduled for UFC 230 include Luke Rockhold vs. Chris Weidman, “Jacare” Souza vs. David Branch and Derek Brunson vs. Israel Adesanya.
