Following the latest incident involving Jon Jones and USADA, Alexander Gustafsson is accusing his rival of knowingly taking performance-enhancing drugs. In addition, “The Mauler” contends “Bones” did so due to a lack of confidence.

Jones and Gustafsson are booked to fight in the headliner of UFC 232, which until recently, was supposed to take place in Las Vegas. But, after a drug test for Jones came back with an atypical result, the card’s been moved to Los Angeles, since the former champ can receive a license to compete.

During a press conference on Thursday, Gustafsson was asked if he thinks Jones is a cheater, and the light-heavyweight star said this (quote via MMA Junkie):

“Yes, I do (believe he’s a cheater),” Gustafsson said. “Yes I do. This guy is not confident. He has to put (expletive) in his body to be confident. That’s all it is.”

Jones, meanwhile, responded with this:

“It’s good that you actually believe that a microscopic (picogram) has allowed me to be more confident,” Jones said. “I’m glad that you believe that.”

Gustafsson and Jones fought back in 2013, and the latter won the tightly contested fight via decision.
