Following an abnormal drug test result that has prompted UFC 232 to be moved from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, Jon Jones has released a statement regarding the incident.

Saturday’s card has been moved after a drug test to Jones indicated the presence of the same metabolite that he was flagged for last year. The California Commission has granted Jones a license to compete, whereas Las Vegas has not. The California Commission presided over Jones’ case last year, and the organization is siding with the conclusion of USADA that the positive test stems from the fighter’s 2017 test.

I am focused on achieving my ultimate goal of reclaiming my Light Heavyweight title. I have willingly submitted to every USADA test in the lead up to this fight and USADA has confirmed what I've been saying all along, that I'm a clean athlete. I sincerely thank the California State Athletic Commission and Andy Foster for doing the right thing and supporting me through this process. I cannot wait to fight Alex Gustafsson this Saturday December 29th at the Los Angeles Forum in Inglewood.

Jones is scheduled to fight Alexander Gustafasson in the headliner of UFC 232.
