The industry consensus is that Israel Adesanya will remain undefeated in the Octagon, after he faces Anderson Silva at UFC 234, and that opinion’s reflected in the card’s early betting lines.

The rising middleweight will face the legendary Silva on February 9th in Melbourne, Australia. The early betting lines have the 29-year-old Adesanya as a -380 to -400 favorite to defeat the 43-year-old, former middleweight champ.

Since joining the UFC this year, Adesanya has won four straight bouts to push his MMA record to 15-0.  Most recently, at UFC 230 in November, Adesanya finished fellow contender Derek Brunson.

Silva (34-8, 1 no-contest) hasn’t competed since February, 2017 when he earned a decision victory over Brunson.

The winner of the upcoming fight is expected to receive a title shot.
