Tony Ferguson has won 11 straight fights, and has defeated several, notable fighters during that run. But, Donald Cerrone sounds pretty confident that he’ll defeat “El Cucuy” when they battle at UFC 238.

Recently the UFC announced that Cerrone and Ferguson are going to fight at the June 8th card, which will take place in Chicago. Since then, Cerrone spoke with MMA Junkie, and while discussing Ferguson, “Cowboy” said this:

“It surprised me that Tony wanted to fight so short notice,” Cerrone said. “I don’t know if he needs money to pay medical bills or what the (expletive). I don’t care either. It doesn’t matter to me.”

“I watched him fight Lando (Vannata) my buddy,” Cerrone said. “I know what kind of opponent I’m against. He’s tough as (expletive), he’s very unorthodox, but not a very high-level striker, I don’t think. He’s just high volume. We’ll be all right.”

Ferguson (24-3) is coming off a TKO win (corner stoppage) over Anthony Pettis in October, while Cerrone (36-11) earned a decision win over Al Iaquinta in his previous fight last month.
