Thiago Santos is a sizeable underdog heading into his bout this Saturday with Jon Jones, but the surging fighter’s outlined how he intends to score a massive upset at UFC 239.

Santos will face the light-heavyweight champion in the headliner of the Las Vegas event, and heading into the contest, the Brazilian is an underdog with odds ranging as high as +550.

During the open workouts on Wednesday, however, the feared striker said this (quotes via MMA Junkie):

“I’m very happy to be here,” Santos said. “This is my moment, my time. Next Saturday, I will shock the world. I will do it.”

“I will (use) my footwork, my power, and I will put pressure on him. Next Saturday, we’ll all see the new light heavyweight champion of the world.”

The 35-year-old Santos (21-6) has secured a title shot, thanks to a four fight winning streak which includes stoppage wins over contenders Jan Blachowicz and Jimi Manuwa.
