Claudia Gadelha will no longer fight Alexa Grasso tonight, as a result of the latter coming in several pounds over weight. But the strawweight is reporting she was still willing to face Grasso at UFC 246.

Since Grasso missed weight by 5.5 pounds for the bout, the fighter was not cleared to fight as per the Nevada Commission’s regulations. Since then, Gadelha shared out the image and comments below.

I worked so hard for this and I was so excited to put in a show for you all tomorrow but unfortunately my fight isn’t gonna happen because my opponent missed weight by 5.5 pounds. I still wanted the fight because I am a bad bitch but Nevada Commission athlete didn’t allowed the fight to happen. A big thanks for my coaches, teammates, family and whole team for the amazing camp!! We will run it back!! Gadelha (17-4) hasn’t competed since last July, when she recorded a decision win over Randa Markos. The 31-year-old has gone 3-2 in her last 5 bouts.
