By FCF Staff
After defending her flyweight title for a third time at UFC 247, Valentina Shevchenko provided a list of opponents she could face in the coming months.
Shevchenko took on Katlyn Chookagian in the co-main event of Saturday’s event, and stopped the challenger in round three. Due to Shevchenko’s dominance so far at 125, speculation continues about her returning to bantamweight at some juncture.
But, after UFC 247, the champ had this to say about her future and possible opponents (quotes via MMA Junkie):
“We just watched the rankings of flyweight with Laura Sanko, and it was after Katlyn (Chookagain) (and) Jessica Eye. It was Joanne Calderwood, Jennifer Maia, and Roxanne Modafferi,” Shevchenko said. “These three girls I think are strong fighters. They have very good skills. Each one, they have different styles of fighting. I would love to fight any one of them.”
Shevchenko (19-3) has won five straight fights now since she lost by split decision to bantamweight and featherweight champ Amanda Nunes in 2017.
