T.J. Dillashaw has faced both Henry Cejudo and Dominick Cruz in the Octagon, and the former champ believes Cruz will reclaim the bantamweight title tonight at UFC 249.

Dillashaw fought Cruz back in 2016, and lost the bantamweight title to the storied fighter via split decision. Last January, Dillashaw dropped down to flyweight to challenge Cejudo for that belt, but was stopped in the first round.

Fast forward to today, and Cejudo is holding the bantamweight title. Cruz has agreed to fight the decorated wrestler on short notice. Recently Dillashaw spoke with TMZ, and when asked to weigh-in on Cejudo – Cruz, he said this (quotes via MMA Junkie).

“I like the fight, I’m intrigued in it,” Dillashaw said. “But if I’m a betting man, I’d bet on Dominick Cruz. I think that his awkward fighting style is tough to deal with, not like it’s the super most technical, but he uses it to his advantage. He gets people to play his game and I think that he’s going to point-fight Cejudo and he’s going to outpoint him and he’s gonna win a decision. It’s really tough to prepare for Dominick Cruz because no one really matches his style, it’s very awkward.”

“I’m interested in it,” he explained. “Obviously I got some bad blood with both these guys, so I like the fight,” Dillashaw said. “Obviously either of them that wins, I’d love to get in there and get my title back from them, so I’m happy about the fight.”

Dillashaw is currently serving a two-year suspension he was handed, after testing positive for banned substances, following his loss to Cejudo.

UFC 249 is taking place in Jacksonville, Florida.
