UFC 290 is in the books, and the card saw Alexander Volkanovski continue his reign as the promotion’s top featherweight.

Volkanovski faced interim champ Yair Rodriguez in the main event, and eventually stopped the dangerous striker with a series of punches in round three.

In the co-headliner, Alexandre Pantoja narrowly defeated Brandon Moreno via split decision to take the flyweight title. With the win, Pantoja has defeated Moreno three times.

The main card also saw rising middleweight Dricus Du Plessis finish former champ Robert Whittaker with strikes in round two. Afterward, middleweight champion Israel Adesanya entered the cage and had a fiery, verbal exchange with Du Plessis. The latter is expected to challenge the champion later this year.
