UFC 298: Date Announced For Alexander Volkanovski vs. Ilia Topuria Headlined Card

Following the recent announcement that Alexander Volkanovski will battle Ilia Topuria at UFC 298, a date has been announced for the upcoming card.
Recently, UFC President Dana White confirmed that Volkanovski would fight Topuria in February. Since then, the promotion’s social media channel for Australia and New Zealand announced that the fight will take place on February 18th (February 17th in North America).
No venue or location has been announced yet.
Volkanovski (26-3) is coming off a stoppage loss to lightweight champion Islam Makhachev last month. The featherweight champion took the fight on less than two weeks’ notice, after Charles Oliveira was forced to withdraw.
The Australian star last defended the featherweight title in July, by stopping Yair Rodriguez in round three.
Topuria (14-0), meanwhile, locked up a title shot after recording a decision win over Josh Emmett in June. The German-born fighter has gone 6-0 to date in the UFC.
