Leon Edwards has drawn plenty of praise for his wrestling defense over the last few years. But, Belal Muhammad’s takedowns and grappling game proved to be too much for the now, former, welterweight champ.

Muhammad recorded nine takedowns in the headliner of UFC 304 on Saturday, and outstruck Edwards by a wide margin, en route to a unanimous decision win.

In the card’s other title fight, Tom Aspinall defended the interim heavyweight belt by quickly stopping Curtis Blaydes. Aspinall dropped Blaydes with a left hook not long into the fight and then prompted the referee’s stoppage with punches from above. Blaydes initially protested that the fight had been stopped too quickly, but, Aspinall will now face the winner of the expected, Jon Jones versus Stipe Miocic fight.
