The UFC closed out its 2024 pay-per-view schedule on Saturday, and the card saw Alexandre Pantoja extend his reign as the flyweight champ.

The Brazilian fighter faced former RIZIN bantamweight champ and UFC newcomer, Kai Asakura in the main event, and submitted the Japanese star in round two. Asakura threatened Pantoja with a couple of flying knees and punches early on, but the pressure and well-rounded game of the champ proved to be too much. Pantoja finished the fight with a rear-naked-choke.

In the co-headliner, Shavkat Rakhmonov locked up a fight with welterweight champion Belal Muhammad, by working his way to a unanimous decision win over Ian Machado Garry. Although Ireland’s Garry outstruck Rakhmonov overall, the rising Kazakh star controlled more of the action and won by scores of 48-47 across the board.
