Although Michael Johnson recently relayed his interest in fighting Donald Cerrone next, the lightweight contender has been booked to face Beneil Dariush instead.

The fight will be part of UFC Fight Night 74, which will be hosted by the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on August 8th.

Johnson (16-8) is riding a four fight winning streak and is coming off a decision win over Edson Barboza in February. The TUF vet is currently ranked #5 in the UFC’s lightweight division.

Dariush (11-1) has also won four in a row, and most recently the fighter earned a UD victory over renowned vet, Jim Miller. Dariush is ranked #14 at 155.

UFC FN 74 will be headlined by a light-heavyweight bout between Ovince Saint Preux and Glover Teixeira.
