Following Artem Lobov’s loss to Andre Fili in October, the featherweight said he wasn’t sure if he’d return to the Octagon. But recently the UFC announced that the Russian fighter will battle American Alex Caceres on April 7th.

The bout will be part of UFC 223, which will take place in Brooklyn, New York.

Lobov (13-14-1) has lost two straight, as prior to his bout with Fili, he dropped a decision to Cub Swanson. Lobov is 2-3 in his last 5 contests.

Caceres (13-11), meanwhile, is coming off a split decision loss to Guan Wang, and is also 2-3 in his last 5 bouts.

UFC 223 will be headlined by a lightweight bout between interim champ Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov.
