The UFC has announced that former bantamweight champ Dominick Cruz will return to the Octagon for the first time in over two years, against John Lineker.

Recently the promotion confirmed that the contenders will fight on January 26th at UFC 233. Cruz (22-2), who has battled numerous injuries in recent years, will be fighting for the first time since December, 2016, when he lost to Cody Garbrandt (via decision).

Lineker’s (31-8) last fight, meanwhile, was in May of this year when he KO’d Brian Kelleher.

UFC 233 will take place in Anaheim, California, and will feature flyweight champ Henry Cejudo defending his belt against bantamweight champ, TJ Dillashaw.
