UFC Announces Max Holloway – Calvin Kattar Bout
By FCF Staff
Max Holloway has his next opponent, as the UFC has announced that the former featherweight champ will battle contender Calvin Kattar next.
Holloway (21-6) is looking to get back on track after dropping back-to-back decisions to Alexander Volkanovski. The second fight took place this past September and Holloway lost the fight via split decision.
Recently the UFC announced that Holloway and Kattar will fight in the headliner of a January 16th card. A location and venue for the event has yet to be announced.
Kattar (22-4), meanwhile, has won two straight fights. In July, he recorded a decision win over Dan Ige, which followed Kattar’s KO victory over Jeremy Stephens in May.
