Michael Bisping

By FCF Staff

The Ultimate Fighting Championship still hopes to host an event, October 26th in Manchester England, but the promotion has announced that the card is not booked yet. The event is expected to be a UFC on FOX Sports 1 card, which will take place at the Manchester Arena.

The UFC’s United Kingdom Twitter and Facebook accounts recently posted the following message:

UFC fans! We are aware that a large number of you are asking about a possible Manchester event for October 26 this year, however we are not yet able to confirm that we are heading back to one of Britain’s most famous cities due to the many factors involved in hosting such a huge event.

We are working hard to bring the UK a card of real significance and if we are able to make this happen it would be the event of the year in Europe. Your need to book transport, tickets and accommodation in advance is appreciated and as soon as we can confirm anything, we will let you know.

Recently it was reported that middleweight contenders Michael Bisping and Mark Munoz have verbally agreed to fight at the card.

The UFC has been open about the fact it hopes to host another event in the U.K. this year. Recently the promotion signed a new broadcasting agreement with the region’s BT Sports.
