Rob Font’s next fight will take place in his backyard, as the UFC has announced that the Masschussettes’ fighter will battle Song Yadong at UFC 292.

Recently, the promotion announced that the match-up will be part of the August 19th card, which will take place at the TD Garden Arena in Boston.

The 35-year-old Font (20-6) is coming off a first-round, stoppage win over Adrian Yanez in April, which followed consecutive losses to Marlon Vera and Jose Aldo.

Yadong (20-7-1), meanwhile, finished Ricky Simon in the fifth round of his last outing, which also took place in April. The 25-year-old lost via TKO (due to doctor’s stoppage) to Cory Sandhagen prior to that.

Font is currently ranked #7 in the UFC’s bantamweight division and Yadong is #8.

UFC 292 will be headlined by a bantamweight fight between champion Aljamain Sterling and Sean O’Malley.
