John Lineker

The UFC’s upcoming event in Portland has its main event, as the promotion has announced that John Lineker will take on fellow bantamweight contender, John Dodson.

The October 1st card will be hosted by the city’s Moda Center.

Lineker (28-7) is coming off a first round, knockout win over Michael McDonald in July, which was the heavy handed fighter’s fifth straight win.

Dodson (18-7), meanwhile, took out Manny Gamburyan in the opening round this past April, after being decisioned by flyweight champ Demetrious Johnson in September.

UFC FN 96 will also feature a lightweight bout between Will Brooks and Alex Oliveira.
