UFC Busan: Brian Ortega Proclaims Chan Sung Jung Fight Will be a “Beautiful Show”
By FCF Staff
Brian Ortega will return to the Octagon in December for a bout with Chan Sung Jung, and the featherweight contender’s confident the fight will be of the must-see variety.
Ortega hasn’t fought since last December, when he lost via TKO (due to doctor stoppage) to featherweight champ, Max Holloway. On December 21st, however, Ortega will face fellow contender Chan Sung Jung at UFC Busan. During a recent pre-fight presser for the event, Ortega (14-1) had this to say about his upcoming fight with “The Korean Zombie” (quotes via MMA Junkie):
“When you look at who is out there, that is going to bring a fight to you, it’s going to be him,” Ortega said. “It’s going to be the guy who likes to go in there and likes to fight. There’s very few fighters now at the top who are willing to stand in the pocket and really pretty much trade punches for punches and see who is the toughest man in this sport and those are the type of fights that I love.”
“I love when I go in there, I love it when we both go in there with heart, strength, honor and put it all on the line, and I love that type of style. I’ve seen his fights, he loves that type of style, and the fans love it so it’s going to be a beautiful show.”
Jung (15-5), meanwhile, hasn’t fought since last December as well, when he was knocked out in the fifth round of his bout with Yair Rodriguez.
