Al Iaquinta

The UFC’s July 15th Fight Night card in San Diego will feature a pivotal lightweight scrap, as the promotion has announced that Al Iaquinta will face fellow contender, Bobby Green.

UFC FN 71 will be hosted by the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California on that day.

Iaquinta (12-3-1) is coming off a tightly contested, split decision win over Jorge Masvidal in April, which was the heavy handed fighter’s fourth straight win. Iaquinta is currently ranked #13 in the UFC’s 155 division.

Green (23-6) will be looking to rebound from a decision loss he incurred to Edson Barboza in November. Prior to the defeat the “King” had won eight in a row. Green is ranked #11 in the lightweight division.

UFC FN 71 will feature a heavyweight bout between Todd Duffee and Frank Mir in the headliner.
